Born 1962 in Chemnitz. Studied industrial design at Halle University of Arts and Design, Burg Giebichenstein. Diploma 1988. In 1992, TV Designer for MDR in Leipzig; since 2001 Head of Project Management for Design. 1998 to 2006, lectureships on the subjects of interactive system design, computer animation and typography at the Universities of Applied Sciences in Dresden and Mittweida and at Halle University of Arts and Design, Burg Giebichenstein. 2006: visiting professor for computer animation at Halle University of Arts and Design. Intensive work on styles of lettering and typography since FUSE 95. Member of Forum Typografie.

TV designer at WDR in Cologne and Düsseldorf. Employed at RTL from 1991 to 2009, initially as TV designer, later head of department. Most recently senior art director at RTL CREATION. 2009/10 creative director at Bruce Dunlop Associates in Munich. In 2011, founded Lobeck | motion concept, a studio for brand staging in image, sound and space. Since 2012, professorship for visual communications at the AMD Akademie Mode & Design in Düsseldorf. Special teaching post in the field of typography at the University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf and at Bergische Universität in Wuppertal. Regular workshops at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg and at the ifs internationale filmschule köln. Lectures at the Typo Berlin, at the Forum Typographie, at Eyes & Ears of Europe and at numerous national and international colleges. Various national and international awards. Since 2010, head of working group 'Typography' at Eyes & Ears of Europe. |
